This individual will fill a key role within the accounting group in our Boise, Idaho office. This position is not remote.  The Accountant position requires some general accounting experience combined with strong analytical skills. The Accountant is responsible for preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, as well as reporting necessary to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the Company’s financial statements.  This person will become knowledgeable in the full accounting and finance cycles of the company, working closely with the Controller.

The Accountant will be able to use Office 365 and have an ability and willingness to learn new software.  The Accountant needs to be a team player & have strong interpersonal communication skills.


  • Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliation, GL account reconciliations, review of GAAP treatment
  • Sales tax and property tax filing, compliance, and research
  • Maintaining fixed assets, preparing journal entries, analyses
  • Accounts payable duties, including invoice approval & check processing
  • Assisting Controller with monthly and yearly close process, ensuring compliance with GAAP
  • Assisting Controller with annual external audits/reviews and responding to information requests as well as reviewing financial statements and supporting documents
  • Ad Hoc projects and reports each month

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • CPA or CPA Exam Eligible (in Process)
  • Competency in Excel and proficient with other Microsoft Office suite products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • 1-2 years of related accounting or auditing experience
  • Working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Driven and initiative taking personality

As a full time, salary employee, benefits include Medical, Dental and Vision insurance, 401K plan (after 6-month probation period), flexible working hours, with core hours of 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in Southeast Boise.  Parking is included.  Initial probation training period is three months in which time a person must be able to demonstrate confidence and accuracy when making independent decisions and resolving issues.
