Regular fans have no hope of ever piloting, let alone buying an F1 car or MotoGP bike. But among racing sports, cycling is unique. Just about anyone can walk into a bike shop and buy a road bike that the pros ride.

To celebrate this year’s Tour de France, let’s take a look at some of the finest bikes in our inventory. Here are seven Tour-worthy bikes that you can buy right now.

Teams: Bora-Hansgrohe, Deceuninck-Quick-Step

Bora-Hansgrohe and Deceuninck-Quick-Step are bringing some of cycling’s biggest stars to the Tour. Bora-Hansgrohe will have three-time world champion and seven-time green jersey winner, Peter Sagan. The Deceuninck-Quick-Step squad is headlined by current world champion Julian Alaphilippe and 30-time stage winner Mark Cavendish. They will ride the S-Works Tarmac SL7, Specialized’s latest all-rounder race bike. The Tarmac SL7 is more aerodynamic than its predecessor, the S-Works Tarmac SL6 (shown here), but Tarmacs has been competing at the front of the field for over 10 years and every generation is a top-tier race machine.

Cervelo S5 aero road bike for saleCervelo S5

Team: Jumbo-Visma

Jumbo-Visma is led by Primož Roglič, last year’s runner-up and one of the top contenders for the yellow jersey. In the high mountains, Roglič will likely ride Cervelo’s lightweight R5. But on flat and fast stages where aerodynamics matter more, the wind-cheating S5 will be the choice. It has a sculpted aero frame, integrated aero cockpit, and an aggressive, low riding position. Expect Roglič’s teammate, Wout van Aert, to use the S5 in his hunt for stage wins.

But he and his UAE-Team Emirate teammates also have the lightweight C64 in their arsenal. The C64 uses lugged carbon construction to provide a classic look and a huge range of sizes to satisfy the pickiest riders. Look for the C64 to come out on the toughest mountain stages.
